Nuclear Waste Services has an exciting opportunity for a Contract Framework Administrator to join our team!

As part of this role your will provide support in the administration of a range of RWM’s most complex, high value, high risk contracts/frameworks to support the NWS GDF programme and the Contract Management team, and provide broader contract management support across other contracts within NWS.

The role will sit within the Commercial Team, reporting into the Contract Framework Manager/Commercial Contract Manager, and on a day-to-day basis, the role will work within the GDF’s client Directorates and will therefore have strong links into personnel within those Directorates.

Roles and Responsibilities

The role will play an important role in ensuring that key contract commitments are delivered throughout the contract lifecycle. Supporting the Head of Contract Management and Commercial Contract Managers, the post will help ensure that contracts are delivered to time, within budget and to the required quality by the effective administration of payments, contract amendments, performance reports and document management. It will also support the development of relationships with contractors through coordinating supplier meetings and reviews – in the case of frameworks this may involve a large number of participants.

In addition, the role will increasingly take the lead in supporting the effective management of identified lower risk/complexity contracts, offering the opportunity to be involved at all stage of the contract management process.

Experience Required
  • Experience of framework/contract administration or working within a procurement function.
  • Keen attention to detail, with an ability to spot errors.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills – including the ability to handle multiple priorities at one time.
  • Strong interpersonal skills being able to communicate effectively and work within a team.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Qualification in Business Administration or procurement is desirable.
  • Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
