Nuclear Waste Services has a vacancy for an experienced Enterprise Resilience Specialist to join our team flexible working across the NWS estate.
As a Enterprise Resilience Specialist, you will be involved in the development, implementation and delivery of Frameworks for Enterprise Resilience and Business Continuity for Nuclear Waste Services. Supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of personnel, systems, management arrangements and tools, covering enterprise resilience and business continuity for NWS activities outside of the nuclear licensed site, within our supply chain and in communities in which we operate.
This is an exciting time to join the team reviewing, setting up and embedding incident responses as well as identifying potential risks. A key aspect of this role will be stakeholder engagement bringing together key decision makers to get a successful outcome.
- Provision of specialist expertise to the delivery of enterprise resilience and business continuity for NWS in accordance with HMG requirements and relevant good practice, in support of NWS strategy in achieving its mission.
- Develop, implementation and ongoing maintenance of an enhanced incident response function for NWS operations outside of the Nuclear Licensed Site, to support business priorities in response to incidents, risks and issues.
- Provision of subject matter expertise to support Implementation of an enterprise resilience framework for the effective management of resilience and business continuity risks to information, facilities, reputation and other critical business assets.
- Development of resilience exercising approach to validate resilience and business continuity arrangements and build knowledge across NWS.
- Support incident response personnel in acting on the outcomes and lessons learnt from exercises, to improve the robustness of resilience planning and ensuring that exercises continually develop to support the improved resilience of NWS business delivery.
- Support horizon scanning activities, both internally and externally, in order to ensure that threats, risks and proposed business changes that may have an impact on the resilience of NWS are appropriately considered in the resilience cycle.
Essential
- Demonstrable experience working in either Security, Resilience, Risk Management or Emergency Arrangements
- Experience working in Business Resilience and ability to demonstrate a good understanding implementation of enterprise resilience and business continuity best practice.
- Knowledge and expertise of Enterprise Resilience, Business Continuity and Emergency Management standards, frameworks and good practice guidelines.
- Experience of stakeholder engagement, identifying key stakeholders and forging strong relationships to deliver business objectives and outcomes, using appropriate channels, to ensure they are engaged, taking account of their levels of influence.
- Good understanding of Project Management techniques
- Experience in acting as a Subject Matter Expert for Resilience or Business Continuity.
Desirable
- Nuclear industry experience.
- Membership of a professional institute / industry body or Diploma/Certificate in Business Continuity Management or Enterprise Resilience.
- Experience of developing and delivering training
