As part of this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting compliance with quality standards and procedures all installation, calibration and testing processes of electrical and instrumentation scope.
You will also recommend methods to improve overall quality and assists in analysing quality concerns. Monitor and assist construction to achieve quality standards.
- On site focal point for welding and quality control
- Familiarisation with specific welding and fabrication documentation prior to commencement of welding, e.g. fabrication drawings, WPS, inspection and test plan etc.
- Inspection of welding and welding related activities before, during and after completion of welding
- Liaison with NDT subcontractor and review of completed NDT reports including review of radiographs
- Liaison with client on welding & NDT related activities
- Recording of welding and quality related information for QC records
- CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector (minimum) / CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector (preferred)
- PCN Radiographic Interpretation Level 2
- Experience in nuclear industry preferred
- CCNSG Safety Passport
- SC Clearance or to be willing to undertake this
