Nuclear Waste Services has a vacancy for an enthusiastic Digital Asset System Coordinator to join our team flexible working across the NWS estate.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing, implementing and maintaining our Digital Asset Management Systems for the Nuclear Waste Services Low Level Waste Repository. This role involves being the administrator for several key applications such Autodesk BIM 360, SharePoint based systems and relevant Digital Asset systems as they are implemented.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining systems that are accurate allowing efficient information access for all personnel. The role will also require the candidate to support the development of asset information and reporting systems, digitisation of physical records and support the development of standards enhancing collaborative working across the NWS Engineering Team.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • System Administration: Oversee and support the day-to-day operations of the key applications within the Digital Asset Management System. Autodesk BIM 360, SharePoint libraries/databases, future digital asset software (photos/videos etc)
  • Support Asset Data Analyst in data downloads, analysis and reporting requirements.
  • Achieve practitioner skill level in variety of packages to support the wider NWS Engineering Team in best practice application of Microsoft 365 applications and MS Teams
  • Support the Senior Lead: Asset Management in providing Asset Management functional support to NWS
  • Develop and apply appropriate quality assurance checks to engineering data sets to ensure they are fit for use and comply with standardised system requirements.
  • Collaborate with a variety of cross functional teams to gather and support the integration of data into the required asset management systems.

  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Experience Required
  • Demonstrable proficiency in several digital information systems but should include SharePoint and MS365 software. NWS system specific training can be provided.
  • Demonstrable interpersonal skills of working collaboratively with cross functional teams
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Proven experience of providing quality assurance checks on data sets
  • Ability to complete tasks with thoroughness, accuracy and consistency.
  • Be prepared to have SC security clearance. 

Desirable

  • Knowledge of metadata management for accurate data categorisation.
  • Experience of key MS Power Apps; Power Query, PowerBI, Power Automate
