The successful candidate will provide a full and effective project controls service for a programme of works within the bounds of the LLWR project controls framework. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a widely skilled team. The Project Control Engineer will help provide support to the organisation by value forecasting as well as identifying variances and improvements.

- Control project expenditure as part of an authorisation chain
- Independently manage, record, and forecast the costs on designated work scopes
- Undertake basic monthly schedule reviews and progress updates as a minimum
- Prepare earned value reports for the work scope manager in a timely manner, and support them in cost and earned value forecasting
- Analyse earned value performance data to identify, explain and propose ways to improve variances
- Prepare and implement Change Controls
- To provide support to the application of risk processes and to the Project Teams and Risk
- Manager in risk identification, reviews, workshops and upkeep of risk registers
- Contribute to on-going project controls improvements
- Support the training and development of less experienced team members
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Controls Manager
- To be aware of the environmental responsibilities of this role.

- The role will be accountable to the NWS Board and NDA with regard to the accuracy and timeliness of Project Controls Information.
- Authorities defined by the LLWR schedule of delegations and associated sub delegations.

- Demonstrable experience of cost control and forecasting within a project control
- environment
- Spreadsheet manipulation skills and Excel work
- Consistent performance under pressure

- Good relationship building skills and ability to manage relationships with key clients or
- stakeholders across the organisation
- Pays close attention to detail with a meticulous and methodical approach

- Relevant experience in project controls (core discipline cost or planning)
- Minimum qualification in English and Maths (Grade C/5)

- Experience of using Primavera P6
- Experience of schedule development, update and maintenance

- Experience in Change control development
- Knowledge of commercial management
- Relevant qualification in project controls or project management or related discipline
