Nuclear Transport Solutions are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Warrington.
As a Senior Project Manager within the NTS Solutions Business Lane you will be responsible for effective/efficient delivery of large and complex project(s) or programme (s) to achieve agreed outcomes to time, cost and quality objectives. Adopting a flexible delivery strategy in line with the NTS project management processes to ensure a successful outcome / output for the organisation.
The NTS Solutions Business Line delvers a range of Transport projects to customers within the NDA and the wider nuclear Industry. The projects range from the design of transport packages, shipping feasibility studies to licensing and planning of physical shipments.
This is a new role to lead a large project over five years supporting the development of a full Transport solutions supporting the UK Nuclear New Build programme. The project has multiple Work Packages and will involve significant internal and external stakeholder management.
The role would suit an individual who has experience of leading major projects coordinating Project Managers leading the work packages, delivery of Government funded projects and experience of logistics and/ or technical Project delivery.
- Delivery of large, complex projects/programmes providing a fit for purpose flexible solution and ultimately a service that meets the needs of the business line, its customers, and stakeholders to get the required output/outcome in a proactive manner.
- Leading projects teams made up of a cross functional team from within NTS including technical, commercial, legal, and operational areas such as Rail and Shipping.
- Reporting from a project/programme perspective on delivery of inflight projects/programmes - costs of delivery vs budget/management of key risks / opportunities.
- Delivery of Bid Management proposal documentation and have accountability for successful product delivery to required timescales.
- Work collaboratively with the commercial dept to understand delivery contracts and what does this mean from a project/programme delivery perspective.
- Work closely with the project controls team to establish schedule, estimate, risk, and the monitoring of these to aid effective delivery putting in mitigation measures if and where necessary.
- Collaborate closely with clients both internal and external giving feedback via project meetings and or programme boards where appropriate.
- Provide LFE and receive project performance commentary from clients and internal customers, take feedback on board and provide necessary actions to address areas of concern in delivery.
- Could deputise for the programme manager (BP) in their absence.
- Support and mentor junior team members of the projects team.
