Nuclear Waste Services has opportunity for an EC&I Installation, Commissioning and Pre-Operations Engineer to join our busy team at the LLWR Repository in Cumbria.

As an EC&I Installation, Commissioning and Pre-Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for safe and successful delivery of Installation, Commissioning & Pre-Operations activities for projects in our operations and infrastructure areas of the LLW Repository site. Working as a member of the Installation, Commissioning and Pre-Operations team you will support the business in bringing new assets into operation and helping to enhance / care for existing assets through upgrades and replacement activities. You will act as Authorised Person(e) / Nominated Person(e) for Commissioning and provide general adhoc support to project electrical investigation works & isolations. The role will require interaction with project teams and a wide range of people across the business to manage shared resources and interdependencies.

- Prior experience acting as a Commissioning engineer on process systems and equipment; relevant experience and training in the Commissioning of systems and equipment and all safety and plant isolation aspects of Commissioning.
- Broad knowledge of industry consensus standards, processes, procedures and methods relevant to the EC&I and Commissioning areas with a full understanding of underlying principles.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritise own workload against multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Can demonstrate having the ability to engage and impact on others and work effectively as part of a wider team.
- Previous AP(e) / NP(e) and electrical isolations experience.
- Ability to ensure minimum standards and fundamental process requirements are maintained when under pressure to deliver and ability to challenge others at all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Higher National Certificate (HNC) / Higher National Diploma (HND) from an accredited institution in a relevant Electrical discipline or equivalent appropriate professional qualification.
